De ruzie liep dermate uit de hand dat Albert zijn dochter ontsloeg, maar die vocht dit met succes aan, zie een Nu.nl-bericht d.d. 18 maart 2009.
Nu heeft Le nouvel observateur d.d. 9 juni 2011 weer voor opschudding te hebben gezorgd door een artikel, waarin de oude Albert zich onverbloemd uitlaat over recente acties van zijn dochter. Die is een proces begonnen dat zich zo laat samenvatten volgens Connexion France:

THE daughter of Asterix co-creator Albert Uderzo is suing her father’s close colleagues, claiming they have “pillaged and broken” her family.
Sylvie Uderzo is accusing her father’s close circle of advisors of “abuse of weakness” against the 84-year-old.
The legal challenge follows several years of bad relations between the father and his daughter, who was strongly opposed to Uderzo selling to Hachette, in December 2008, his 40 per cent stake in Albert-René, publishers of the Asterix books since the death of co-creator René Goscinny in 1977.
She said in early 2009 that the idea of Hachette taking majority control – with Goscinny’s daughter Anne also selling her 20 per cent – was like the Roman’s invading Gaul, referring to the storylines of the Asterix books.
She was particularly opposed to Hachette’s plans to continue the character’s adventures after her father’s death.
The feud however started in 2007 when Ms Uderzo was sacked from her job as managing director of Editions Albert-René, a decision which was later agreed by a Paris court not to have been properly founded on a “serious fault” on her part.
However it had been assumed that Ms Uderzo had buried the hatchet, when she took the decision to sell her own 40 per cent to Hachette earlier this month, for an undisclosed sum.
On the contrary, she has now launched legal action against individuals close to her father, and the Nanterre public prosecutor has opened an inquiry.
Ms Uderzo, 54, has said she took the “painful decision” so as to have French justice recognise that her father has been a victim of swindlers”.
Among those she is angry with are her father’s former plumber, now his right-hand man, who she claims has led him astray by persuading him to waste money on an extravagant new house with “pharaonic” decoration” and a Mirage III jet that is “sitting in a hangar”.
She also takes issue with certain Hachette staff, who she says have “isolated” her father and his notaire, who is undergoing investigation for fraud in another matter.
Ms Uderzo says these people have taken advantage of her father in recent years as he has aged and has lost close friends.
Uderzo said he feels “infinite sadness” at his daughter’s action and described her decision as “judicial harassment”.
The Asterix books are have sold more than 320 million across the world in about 100 languages.'

Het betreft dit:
' Au milieu des bois de la vallée de Chevreuse, Uderzo s'est construit un village gaulois. Il ne compte que quatre habitants, Albert et sa femme, Ada, la belle aux yeux si verts (le modèle de la pulpeuse Falbala), épousée il y a cinquante-huit ans, et un couple de gardiens.
La maison s'appelle « La butte Mon tartre ». Elle est située allée de la Serpe-d'Or, au numéro 1.
Il n'y a pas d'autres numéros. Dans les années 1960, Albert et Ada avaient acheté ici une clairière de 6 000 mètres carrés, sur laquelle ils posaient leur caravane. Ca les changeait de leur HLM de Bobigny, avec jolie vue sur le cimetière de Pantin. Dans la chambre de sa fille, Albert, qui aimait la campagne, avait peint un ciel, avec des oiseaux et des papillons.
Quand Ada s'est mise à avoir peur du bruissement des arbres au milieu des bois, quand l'argent aussi a commencé à rentrer, ils ont fait construire une maison au toit de chaume, planté un menhir dans le jardin, entrelacé leurs initiales A et A dans le bois des poutres et dessiné des rues plantées de réverbères, qui portent des plaques de faïence bleue - comme à Paris - au nom de leurs parents respectifs.
La propriété fait désormais 12 hectares : c'est un paradis du kitsch. A côté de la maison d'Astérix, celle des Ferrari : Uderzo en a possédé jusqu'à six, il en reste deux et un modèle réduit qu'il a offert à son premier petit-fils pour Noël, quand il avait 9 mois.
Et puis « l'oppidum », immense salle de banquet où l'on est attendu par une statue d'Obélix et un sanglier en peluche grandeur nature. Comme une relique, la robe de mariée de sa fille est posée derrière une balustrade. Un peu plus loin, un hangar abrite un Mirage 3 E patiemment restauré, et identique à ceux qu'Uderzo dessinait dans « Tanguy et Laverdure ». Quand les portes s'ouvrent, l'avion glisse sur un rail, et, mêlée au son d'une canonnade, la voix de Johnny Hallyday entonne « les Chevaliers du ciel ». Albert s'est offert des jouets grandeur nature d'ancien enfant pauvre. Il les adorait.
Aujourd'hui, depuis que sa fille et son gendre considèrent qu'ils ne sont que les caprices d'un vieillard manipulé par des rapaces, ils ne lui donnent plus de plaisir. '
